An Interleaved Two Switch Soft-Switching Forward PWM Power Converter with Current Doubler Rectifier

Forward converters have been broadly used in the power supply industry due to their simplicity, worthy efficiency, and low cost. A novel prototype soft-switched zero-voltage zero-current ZVZC PWM DC-DC converter with voltage/current stresses is introduced for telecommunication feeding this paper. new two-switch interleaved forward circuit minimalize current circulation no supplementary auxiliary snubber circuits. This includes some outstanding benefits such as reduced components, improved high density economic configurations conditioning applications. The simple operation principle demonstrated on basis of steady-state analysis. Furthermore, effective feasibility proposed topology evaluated verified practically a 500 W–100 kHz breadboard. characteristics are from theoretical point view. To verify practical effectiveness converter, using ultrafast IGBTs implemented distributed energy plant. studied soft-switching comparison previously-proposed terms voltage, stresses, operating efficiency.
